Disclosure the fine print
You initial investment is your valuable time, the initial Strategy Session is Free and you are under no obligation whatsoever. Like many professionals I offer a free initial consultation to attract new potential clients and determine if there if a fit.
Your questions will be answered to help determine your priorities and how you would like to proceed.
For over 30 years, I have helped people in the hundreds in a wide range of scenarios, as a resource to financial planners/advisors and directly. Valuable experience was gained doing something I truly enjoyed. The tradeoff was managerial responsibilities left little time to focus building on my own client base.
The challenge of solving problems and the positive impact that has on people's lives is a source of great satisfaction to me. Now that I am retired as a manager, I have aligned myself with my son and have chosen to keep helping people find solutions and am selectively building a private practice as an independent financial planner.
I receive, or could receive, a commission or fee for certain banking products and for introductions to other professional services. If that is the case you will be informed.
I refer mortgages and financing to my son, Blake Wilson, at The Mortgage Group.
If a product is recommended to address your needs, I offer:
- Life insurance, guaranteed investment funds (GIFs), critical illness insurance, annuities, disability insurance, guaranteed investment certificates (GICs) , group pension and employees benefits through a number of insurance and financial services companies using IDCWIN as my MGA.
Most products for individuals and for businesses generate a commission at the time of sale and may provide a renewal (or service) commission if you retain that policy with the company.
I am not obligated to do business with any single company or group.
The Financial Planners Standards Council
(FPSC) was created in 1995 to simplify things for consumers and raise the bar for those holding themselves out as financial planners by establishing the CFP™ designation as the pre-eminent financial planning designation in Canada. Individuals holding the only internationally recognised financial planner designation, the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation, are well trained and adhere to a code of ethics that puts the consumers best interest first.
I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Financial Plans are provided under that license. If engaged to perform financial planning services on a fee for service basis, then you own the plan and are under no obligation to purchase insurance, financial and/or investment products that may have been recommended as part of the plan through me. The initial strategy session is complementary and you are under no obligation.
Paul is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) licensed by the Financial Planners Standards Council; Financial and Estate Plans are provided under that license.
